STAGES OF AUTO RECYCLING

When CMR Kataria works on scrapping your vehicle, it undergoes the following 4 steps in auto recycling:

Deregister Icon

Deregister

The first step is to recheck your vehicle documents, then generate a destruction certificate. After this, all the documents are submitted to the relevant RTO for deregistration of the Vehicle. The documents include the affidavit and indemnity bond that you have signed along with your original RC and chassis cut out. The time taken in the process depends on the RTO of that particular location.

In this step, we remove all the hazardous materials from your vehicle. Then we send it to drain the fluids like the engine oil, coolant, brake oil, disc oil, fuel, AC refrigerant, etc., and we collect them in separate containers. We also remove batteries and other potentially risky elements like airbags. All these harmful materials are kept in a safety container to ensure they do not leak or evaporate in the air.

In this step, we remove all the hazardous materials from your vehicle. In this step, your Vehicle gets dismantled to recover the usable parts. These parts are then stored and are separated by the nature of the material, i.e., metals, rubber, plastic, glass, etc. This is a human-driven process, as machines cannot remove parts without destroying them. The materials are collected in dedicated containers. In this process, we procure certain usable parts like electronic modules, alternators, starter motors, music systems, transmissions, etc., and are sold as used car parts. However, some main polluting parts are not resold as they are the main reasons for pollution, and thus reselling them would go devoid of the purpose of recycling the Vehicle.
